  • Do you provide advising to other medical careers such as Dental, Physician's Assistant or Physical Therapy?
At this time, Leff Premed Advising is solely focused on providing expert advising for those pursuing medical school. While we understand there are many other medical career paths, we believe it is important to focus on what we know best in order to provide the best possible guidance for our clients. We are committed to providing the most comprehensive and effective advising services for those seeking to gain acceptance into medical school.
  • How many students do you work with at a time?
At Leff Premed Advising, we believe in providing personalized service to each of our students. In order to achieve this, we only work with a limited number of students at a time. This allows us to dedicate the time and attention necessary to help each student achieve their goals. We believe that by working closely with each student, we can help them develop a strong application and increase their chances of success. So, if you're looking for individualized support and guidance on your premed journey, we're here to help.
  • How are your meetings held?
Most of our meetings are held virtually.
  • What is included in your Premed Planning Document?
It is individualized per student. But here are few of the items that are included in my 8-10 page document: - Premed Activity Tracker - Student To-Do list with timelines - Academic History and Plans - Medical Career Intentions - Personalized Medical Schools List with 5-8 schools - Medical Application Needs before applying - Timing of MCAT, Application, possible Gap Year
  • When should I begin to meet with a premed advisor?
At Leff Premed Advising, we believe the earlier the better! We recommend that students start thinking about premed advising as early as their freshman year of college. By working with an educational consultant, you can ensure that you are taking the right courses, participating in relevant extracurricular activities, and building a strong foundation for your future medical career. However, we also work with students who are already in the midst of their college career or even post-graduation. Our goal is to help you reach your full potential and achieve your dreams of becoming a successful medical professional.
  • Do you offer refunds if I decide Medical School is not for me?
We understand that life plans change. We offer refunds based on the following: 60% after initial meeting and package, then prorated based on how many update meetings are left in your package.
  • How long are the premed meetings?
The initial meeting is 1 1/2 to 2 hours long. Each update meeting after the initial runs about 1 hour.
  • How do I know if I am ready to apply to medical school?
Leff Premed Advising offers a range of services to help students prepare for and apply to medical school. We offer an initial consultation to assess your readiness to apply to medical school. If we determine that you are not quite ready, we can work with you on a premed advising package to make sure that you have the best application possible when it comes time to apply. Our premed advising services include guidance on course selection and scheduling, extracurricular activities, research opportunities, MCAT preparation, and more. We also offer personalized one-on-one advising sessions to help you navigate the application process and maximize your chances of success. Contact us today to learn more about our services and how we can help you achieve your goals.
  • When is the best time to start work on my medical school application?
We recommend that students start working with us 9 to 12 months before their medical school application deadlines. This gives you ample time to prepare and take the MCAT, secure recommendation letters, create a personalized medical school list, and ensure that your application is well-written and polished. Starting early also allows you to have enough time to make any necessary improvements to your application before submission. By starting early, you increase your chances of getting accepted into the medical school of your choice and reduce the stress of the application process. Contact us today to learn more about our services and how we can help you achieve your dream of attending medical school.
  • Do you assist with the TMDSAS (Texas Admissions Application) and AACOMAS (DO schools)?
Yes, we can help with both of those but it will be at an hourly rate if they are in addition to the AMCAS application
